Listen in on an informative and powerful conversation as I discuss the necessary and impactful role a doula plays in a woman’s birthing experience with four wonderful Doulas that are a part of the Doula Care Collective. Each bringing their unique experiences and passion to limit overwhelm and provide support during a transformative, and beautiful time in a woman's life: childbirth.
Brooke Sternberg (she/her) is a Certified Integrative Life Coach, Birth and Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, and Reiki Master who offers family-centered support throughout the childbearing year. In addition to being the visionary behind the Collective she is the owner of Aspired Mother, a private doula practice here in Palm Beach county but also serves Broward and North Miami Beach. Her approach utilizes self-inquiry, comfort touch, breathwork, and movement to tap into the wisdom of the body to promote a positive experience
Annabelle "Belle" Chauviray is a birth and postpartum Doula, a peer lactation counselor, and a Belly Binding practitioner. She is the Doula behind the Oulala and is the owner of Oulala Doula – Holistic Birthkeeper. She wholeheartedly believes in every woman's inherent power, abilities, and right to birth her baby between science and sacred. She believes in evidence-based information while valuing the wisdom of the women before her. Science reminds us that respecting physiology is the approach to prioritize because it is the safest, and that, technology and medical interventions should be reserved only when needed, and not in the foreground.
Audrey is a DONA trained doula who brings her creative and caring personality to every birth along with calm, sense of humor, and encouragement. A woman's birth experience is a wonderful and important journey. She is honored to be invited into that journey as a helper, encourager, and companion. She is their first out-of-state doula and supports families within the Philadelphia, Wilmington (DE) and South Jersey areas, but also continues to offer virtual support to families here in Florida.
Averjill Rookwood is a passionate doula who is trained to serve in holistic fertility, birth, and postpartum arenas. She also brings over 15 years of employer benefits management experience to the table to assist her clients behind the scenes with the business of healthcare. Compassion, cultural awareness, education, and advocacy are the pillars upon which she has built her business. Her company The Corporate Doula offers traditional doula services and modalities such as childbirth education, comfort measures training, acupressure, and evidence-based alternative care integration.
